All computer diagnostics, repairs, and upgrades are performed in our local workshop. Unit pick-up and dropoff alleviates the inconvenience of disconnecting and connecting their computers and the drive time associated with most repairs. This service allows our technicians to work with every tool available while providing a customer experience that is similar to in-home repair.
*The pickup/dropoff charge is waived if the recommendend services total $200.00 or more and are performed. This charge also serves as a partially refundable deposit.
PC hardware and software diagnostics provide our technicians with the system information they need to accurately determine problems and develop efficient solutions. Complete system diagnostics are in the best interest of the customer as well as the technician, as they provide a real picture of the individual machine; a picture that allows the core problem to be solved-reducing downtime and frustration.
**The diagnostic service charge is waived if all recommended services are performed. Any problem can be temporarily solved cosmetically. This waiver encourages the customer to allow FunTechnicians to completely repair the root of the problem, increasing efficiency and customer satisfaction.
FunTech values all information, especially yours. The main hurdle to jump when approaching system repairs is how to prevent the loss of personal data. In the event that your current system is not "backed-up," FunTech offers this service. As encouragement to have your computer repaired properly, FunTech will back-up and transfer any information you specify to your new or repaired computer for half of the regular service charge.

Data Backup/Transfer costs are associated with time and size. FunTech will provide the media and charge per GB for Data Backup/Transfer services up to 9.4GB (one Dual-layer DVD).

For Data Backup/Transfer services greater than 10GB, FunTech offers the customer an option to purchase their own media, in an effort to maximize the services' efficiency and reliability. The 10+ GB Data Backup/Transfer service is for large amounts of data and FunTech requires an external device for backup/transfer. Upon determination of your storage needs, we will recommend the best possible storage size and solution.
PC hardware installation is a simple physical task. The configuration of new hardware is what becomes the problem. Our intention is to alleviate the burden associated with configuration without concealing simplicity of action. A detailed description of the process associated with any hardware installation we perform is available to the customer before we do the actual installation. Our goal is to teach and inform our customers about their products in order to enhance their productivity and enjoyment. Hardware installation and configuration is available on any compatible hardware and is intended for any upgrade the customer feels is beyond their current capabilities.
All system software is subject to malicious software corruption, most commonly caused by virus or spy-ware software. The root of the problem being software; the general rule for effective repair is to format the hard disc and replace all system files. Malicious software extraction is available and often effective; however, we highly recommend the aforementioned solution. Due to the time consuming and inefficient nature of the task, the price reflects the service.
Some computers, mostly manufactured, are not running efficiently due simply to inefficient software configuration. Without a customized software install, software programs are allowed to run rampant lodging files here and there. With a little practice, attention, and customization, any software application can be reigned in and made to behave. Manufacturers use the "junk" software system to create third-party software visibility in an effort to advertise for software companies. A proper unique optimization is the first step in thwarting unwanted and unneccessary software from draining a computers resources. FunTech's optimization service is based on the individual and their computer, it is not a routine set of clicks performed by an uninterested robot. We work with the individual customer to remove "junk" software and maximize efficiency. Optimization includes updates for system hardware drivers and all installed software.
With time and use, software files are written, rewritten, moved, and replaced; some just get lost in the process. There comes a time in every computer's life when it just needs a fresh copy of the original files it uses on a regular basis. With a proper backup of personal files, a system restore, or system software re-installation, can boost a computers performance dramatically. A restore is best when problems are repeatedly software based. This service is designed for manufactured computers that were sold with restore software, most discs are currently created by the user after their initial purchase and all can be acquired from their respective manufacturer. The basic component of system software is the operating system; Windows, OS X, and Linux. The Factory System Restore with system software is a rate that excludes the cost associated with purchasing a new copy of operating system software, usually an average of $200.00 per license.

The Factory System Restore Service requires the Software Optimization Service. All operating system installations include open-source (free) A-V/A-S software and computer maintenance applications.
The Custom Operating System Installation with O/S software is a truly customized operating-system install. The service is complete with personalized partitioning and formatting of drivespace. Mimimal optimization is included although little is necessary due to the "clean" nature of the install.

A Premium Operating System Installation is the complete software solution package. The premium install starts with custom partitioning and formatting of multiple physical or logical drives. It includes customized installation of all system software, up to two operating systems and all necessary hardware drivers, as well as any RAID configuration requested by the customer.
